Totally Techniques - Die Cut Masking

Its great to be doing another blog hop with the fabulous Totally Techniques team and this month we are highlighting Die Cut Masking. I followed the tutorial on Splitcoast Stampers which is very easy.

I hope you enjoyed Marine's gorgeous creation!

This is mine this month:
I wanted to do a word mask and "hope" seems like a good theme for the coming months. . .

So its a square card 6"x6" - the base card is Basic Black, mounted with a square of Pool Party and then a further square of Whisper White card stock.

I used the Large Letters Framelit Dies simply because they are the only alphabet that Stamping' Up! currently carries. . .it's a good thing I like it!
I sponged the background with Soft Sky first then followed with Pool Party ink as I wanted to build the depth of colour. I also stamped along the right hand side with the filigree stamp from Timeless Textures - this is stamped in Pool Party. I also used the "fly poo" stamp from the same set stamped in Old Olive. You will see that in some areas I generation stamped for better effect.
I also fussy cut the flowers from the Whole Lot of Lovely Designer Series Papers. I adhered them flat on the card which felt funny given that it is over the masked letters and then coated each flower with the Fine Tip Glue Pen.
And added touch of gloss and scattered bling set the whole project off.

Thanks for stopping by. Don't leave us yet as I know Zoe has a terrific project to share!

Until next month, stay sparkly!
